Philosophy

At Canfield, we prepare our children for academic and social success in today's diverse, multi-ethnic world.  We teach children to love to learn through traditional and innovative methods enriched by computer technology, the arts, and hands-on activities. Our teaching philosophy is structured, but not restrictive, so  that children know what is expected of them, yet they feel free and are encouraged to explore new ideas. We believe that learning does not stop when you leave the classroom; therefore, homework is assigned every day. Our students develop language, communication and problem-solving skills as key tools to prepare them for success.
